This is a wonderful candle box with an unusual form. The candle box has a notched slide lid top with a divided compartment and quite deep. There is a drawer on the bottom that is divided as well. The paint is a wonderful, dry, original Mustard Paint. The candle box measures 12 1/4 x 9 x 9 inches. The condition is excellent and the box is constructed with square nails. Circa Mid 19th. century.
