18th Century. Southeastern New England origin, most probably from Nantucket, Mass. The best small splint finely weaved round top to square bottom basket ever. With the best untouched aged nutty patina surface with even some old grunge on the carved notched handle. Even a double weave wrapped rim. In excellent condition. Measures only 6” long by 5 1/2” wide by 5” high, 7 1/2” with handle included. Best shape and form ever.
