I love this form of Apple Box. Not often do. you find these boxes set up on delicate feet. Well this one is so nicely shaped and does stand up on four legs. Besides that the surface is just wonderful. The apple box has its original Green Painted surface and Black stenciled decoration on all sides. and trimmed out in Black paint. Such a lovely look. the apple box measures 8 3/4 x 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches. The condition is excellent. Circa mid 19th. century, American Apple Box. Possibly Pennsylvania in origin.
