This is a very nice example of an early 19th. century Penny Rug. the Rug has good earth tone colors all of the stitching is had done except for the treadled edges. There is one raw edge that for some reason was not stitched. No holes. This rug is early to mid 19th. century and is a nice American example. The rug measures 19 1/2 x 15 1/2 inches.
