This is a lovely, small painted wall box. The size, form, age and surface make it quite unusual and desirable. The body of the box is cut from thin Pine wood. The paint is original and worn so well to impart a great look on the box. The paint is a Dark Red. Construction is with small square nails. The wall box has a soft steeple back. American wall box from the early to mid 19th. century.
