This utilitarian tableware, Adam Rose, was made in the late 1800s to satisfy a vast market in Europe and America. Bold colors of red, blue and green were hand painted on a white soft paste china in the folky rose and leaf pattern. I have 11 plates measuring 9 1/4 inches.
