This signed (with initials WMW – anyone know the carver) contemporary Merganser decoy has a wonderful, painted surface and great presence. With head held high, it seems to be swimming with a purpose. It measures a full 17” from beak to tail and is about 7” high at the head; the sleek body is about 5” wide. Painted tack eyes and a flat bottom (no weights), it is ready to sit on your mantle or bookshelf! The body was carved out of a single block of wood and the head attached.
