**Ca.1840 Silhouette of Girl w/Book attr. Hubard

For sale is a charming antique ca. 1840 painted silhouette of a girl holding a book. I was told that it was an unsigned Hubard piece. It is in a period walnut veneered frame with a metal hanger at the top. The framed piece measures about 9 3/4" x 7 1/2" with sight measurements of 7 1/2" x 5 1/4". The image itself is about 6" high and 3" wide. The piece is in very nice antique condition, with expected and appropriate signs of age, but no significant flaws.
