For sale is a very sweet antique dated 1849 folk art scherenschnitte love token/valentine, that has hearts and tulips in the design, as well as locks of hair that are from the names that are written in the middle, which are Moses, Delight, Coral, Caroline, Charles, Eleanor, George, and Charlott. There are also the letters H,A,F,Z,I, and M. around the center. The piece is mounted on black paper, placed in what I believe is a period frame, and the beveled wood backing is still intact. It measures about 12" x 11", with sight measurements of 9 1/4" x 8 1/4". The image itself is about 6 3/4" square. The piece is in nice antique condition, with no significant flaws, although there is a repaired tear in one corner, barely noticeable, but mentioned for the sake of complete accuracy.
