**Antique Scandinavian Folk Art Tine Box w/Bird

For sale is a fabulous antique Scandinavian folk art tine box that I acquired from a collection in Missouri. It has a terrific very stylized painted bird on a branch on the lid, and there are leaves and flowers around the perimeter. A fairly simple palette was used, and colors include black, white, yellow, grayish green, and blue. The box is constructed in the traditional way, with thin wooden strips used to hold both the box and lid together, as well as wooden pegs. The piece measures about 15 3/8" long, 9 1/2" wide, and 6 3/8" tall. It is in nice antique condition, with nice signs of age, including even wear where the lid was taken on and off, and a few missing pegs. It should also be noted that it has been reinforced with a few later nails, but the box is very solid.
