Small Wooden Cigar Box Church

A small, home-made church, constructed from wooden cigar box panels and beautifully and intricately painted. The church has a swinging door (there may have been 2 doors), a base for a steeple and a small wood-stove like chimney! The door, a round windown at the base of the steeple along wit another window just above it and the arched windows, as wonderfully painted and given the building a very realistic appearance. The church is mounted on a wooden base. Overall dimensions are 7 3/8” x 4 ¾” x 6” (to the top of the steeple that remains. Very fine condition cracks, splits or breaks, only the missing left side of the door (easily replaceable for someone who knows what they are doing) and the steeple. I would date this to the 1930s or 1940s. This would look great in a Christmas village or as part of a model train set-up.
