I have for sale, a nice early splint light. It is hand wrought iron on a wooden base with a spring holder. These lamps burned either rush or splint pieces. Splint pieces are scrap splinters of wood or sometime they used leftover scraps of the splint from weaving a seat in a chair. They wasted nothing!! It's in very good condition with no issues. It measures 11 1/2" tall and the base is 2 3/4" X 2 3/4". Additional pics on request.
