For sale is a charming antique 19th century watercolor folk portrait of a young boy holding a riding crop. It is housed in what I believe is the original burl frame with the original metal loop hanger, and measures about 7 3/4" x 6" with sight measurements of 5 1/2" x 3 3/4". The image alone is about 4 1/2" x 2 1/4". The portrait is in very nice antique condition, with overall very light toning on the paper, but no significant flaws. It should be noted that it was removed from the frame for examination, and acid free backing was placed behind the image before replacing the paper backing.
