For sale is a charming antique primitive folk art slaw cutter or slicer that has been in my collection for quite a few years. I think that it is from Pennsylvania, although I don't know for sure. I also think that it dates from the early to mid 19th century. I believe that it is maple, and there are scribed hearts at the top and bottom, as well as a radial design in the center. There is a large "3" in the center of the top heart, as well as the initials "W.B." above. The piece measures about 17" long, 4 1/8' wide, and 1 1/4" thick, and is in nice antique condition, with a warm aged patina on the wood, overall rust and pitting, as well as a few missing teeth on the blades, but it displays very well. Please look carefully at the pictures, and contact me with any questions. or for additional photos.
