For sale is a terrific and very early dated 1793 Scandinavian folk art fork tool of some kind that I acquired from a sale in Pennsylvania. The date is scribed in the handle, and there is a little "well" below flanked by cross hatching. The other side has naive scribed waves with what look like pinwheels or possibly flowers, and there are 13 tines in all. The piece measures about 17 1/4" long including the handle, 10" wide, and 1 1/4" thick, and is in primitive antique condition, with significant signs of age and use.
