**Victorian Eglomise Silhouette of Amy Robsart

For sale is a beautiful antique Victorian folk art eglomise or reverse painted silhouette that is signed at the bottom with what I believe is the sitter's name which is Amy Robsart. The woman appears to be wealthy, and is holding a fan, I believe. It is housed in what I believe is its original frame with a gold inner liner, as well as a metal wire hanger. The piece measures about 12 1/2" x 9 3/8" with sight measurements of 8 1/8" x 5 1/4". The image itself is about 6 1/2" x 4". The silhouette is in very nice antique condition, with a tiny bit of smearing, a few tiny spots, and the thick paper background is new. The frame shows expected wear, particularly on the gold inner liner, but it displays very well. Please look carefully at the pictures, and contact me with any questions or for additional photos.
