**Antq. 1920 Hooked Rug w/Cat's Tongues Ex Wahler

For sale is a rather unusual antique primitive folk art hooked rug that was formerly in the collection of Carole Wahler. The hooking is a hit or miss pattern, and the loops are very "loose", for lack of a better word. The rug has 2 rows of cat's tongues as a border, and on the back, there is a hand written inscription that says" L.L.L. 13 Feb. 1920". The rug measures about 45" long and 24 1/2" wide, and is in nice antique condition, with some surface dirt on the bottom, which is canvas, but no significant issues.
