For sale is an antique, likely late 18th to early 19th century burl veneer tea caddy that I acquired in Pennsylvania, although I think it is probably English. It is a sort of pyramid shape, and has mushroom button feet, as well as its original mother-of-pearl escutcheon and key, and the lock is in working condition. The piece measures about 5" tall, 7 3/8" long, and 4 1/8" wide, and is in nice antique condition, with signs of age and use, including a bit of warping causing the lid to not quite fit flat next to the box. In addition, 2 of the feet might be old replacements, as 2 of the feet have old screws to attach to the bottom, while the other 2 don't. Still, it is worthy of collection and display. Please look carefully at the pictures, and contact me with any questions or for additional photos.
