Sold by Albion Valley Folk Art and Antiques

For sale is a charming antique folk art scherenschnitte valentine that I acquired on a recent trip to the Midwest, East Coast, and New England. It has 8 hearts as well as other flourishes, and each heart has writing on it, all of which has been transcribed on the back. In addition, the information indicates that it was made by a woman named Maude Getz, who was born in Harrison County, Indiana in 1885. The image has been placed on a red background with scribed lines around the perimeter, and is housed in a vintage silver and black frame. The framed piece measures about 15 3/4" square with sight measurements of 13 1/2" square. The scherenschnitte itself is about 12 1/4" in diameter. It is in nice antique condition, with no really significant issues. Please look carefully at the pictures, and contact me with any questions or for additional photos.
