20th century log cabin printed textile resides under glass surrounded by an exemplary late 19th century tiger maple frame. It appears this textile was cut from a larger subject and used as focal point backed on off white woven cotton. A man dressed in appropriate 19th century attire sitting on a log stool appears to be enjoying the outside surroundings while a folk art facsimile of a sitting cat is positioned just below. The well behaved dog sitting in the dog house to the left does not seem to take notice of the cat! 😼 The log cabin sporting a thatched roof with a single dormer window is flanked by various colorful foliage set against a forest green ground. A couple tiny areas of fabric loss along with dark specs throughout. Tiger maple robust frame is in great condition showing a well-earned patinaed surface. Some areas of wood loss on the back near the bottom edges. Great piece! Frame measures 16” across by 13 ½” tall and is ¾” thick. More Pictures Available!
