Early American Sampler wrought by “Date (Theodate) Gorham Lovell” b.1798-1856 when she was 13 years old. She was the daughter of Captain Gorham Lovell and Theodate Date Lovell from Barnstable, MA. She had 3 other siblings Matilda, Daniel Gorham and Gorham Lovell Jr. Sampler is in very good condition and framed in old gilt frame under glass and measures 18.5 X 19” and says “Industry produces pleasure and improvement.”
