For sale is what I believe is a rare antique super primitive folk art Mardi Gras noisemaker that I acquired in Iowa. I believe that it dates back to about the 1920's, and there are 5 figures, 3 men and 2 women, and the on on top has a guitar. The piece is made of wood, fabric, and paper, is very naively painted, has tin disks that make a jingling noise when the lever at the bottom is moved. In addition, the shaft is made of bamboo. The piece measures about 33" long when the lever is pulled all the way down, and 12" in diameter. The figures are about 7"-7 1/2" tall. The piece is in primitive condition, with surface dirt, wear, and other signs of age, but where are you going to find another one? Please look carefully at the pictures, and contact me with any questions or for additional photos.
