For sale is a wonderful antique quilt made for a poster bed in a North Carolina Lily pattern according to information that came with it. I purchased it from a collection in Vermont, and it is hand pieced, hand quilted in a diamond grid pattern, hand bound in charming calico print fabrics, and is filled with cotton. There are 2 cards that came with it, one stating the most recent owner, which was Sarah Dopp of So. Burlington, VT. The other card/tag states the name Katherine E. Dopp of So. Burlington, as well as a note stating that it was made by Electa Thankful Warner in the mid 19th century. The quilt measures about 88" x 84", and is in nice antique condition, with no holes, rips, or repairs, although there is an area of light toning as well as a couple of light spots near the bottom. However, I consider the quilt to be in very nice condition considering how early it is. Please look carefully at the pictures, and contact me with any questions or for additional photos.
