For sale is what I think is a rather unusual antique painted bucket that came from New England. It is painted primarily a barn red with indigo wooden strapping around the bottom. There are 2 large holes on each side, but it doesn't really look as if there was ever a handle, although I don't know. If anyone knows more about pieces of this type, I would appreciate any information. The bucket measures about 8 1/4" tall, 9" in diameter on the top, and 10" in diameter on the bottom, and is in solid but antique condition, with much of the indigo worn away, a few insect holes on the bottom, as well as other signs of age and use.
