19th C. PA. Folk Art Fraktur Ex Adams York, PA

Price: SALE PRICE 325 including shipping and insurance

Sold by Albion Valley Folk Art and Antiques

For sale is an antique 19th century Pennsylvania folk art fraktur that was formerly in the collection of Jo and Jim Adams of York, PA. It has a central 10 petal flower, and is flanked by other flowers that look to be budding. The piece is housed in what could be the original frame with the original metal loop at the top, and measures about 10" x 6 3/4" with sight measurements of 7 1/4" x 4". It is in nice, but antique condition, with toning and minor stains, and it looks like it may have been part of a larger piece at one time. Still the colors are wonderful, and it is worthy of display. It should also be noted that it was removed from the frame for examination, and acid free backing was added before placing it back in the frame, and of course, the paper backing is new. Please look carefully at the pictures, and contact me with any questions or for additional photos.
