🌼🌷 Beautiful pantry box in period paint dating from the mid-19th century showing stylized and detailed flowers sprouting from a basket. Sides are also painted having a foliate design element against a soft mustard ground. A series of vertical nails appear in the front securing the overlap area while small wooden pegs appear on the bottom side wall as well as on the lid. The name “Ed” was painted on the back. Some berry stain residue on the inside bottom area. There are also a couple cracks on the lid (middle section) that are visible on the underside as well. Very good condition without any chips to report and shows well. Cheerful and special piece that makes for a great display showing a talented artist best effort. Measures 7 ¾” across the top, measures 7 ½” across the bottom and stands 3 ½” tall. More pictures available.
