For sale is a very dear and tiny antique folk art chicken/hen pen wipe that I have had for awhile, and that I acquired from a dealer friend in Virginia. The hen is made of yarn in sort of a pompom or stumpwork technique, has a yarn tail, embroidered comb, black glass bead eyes, and its beak sort of looks like it is made using some kind of seed, although I don't know for sure. The chicken is sitting on what looks like a flower made of wool felt, and there is another layer of felt on the bottom. The piece measures about 1 1/2" tall and 2 1/2" in diameter on the bottom, and is in antique condition with signs of age and use including surface dirt, ink stains, and a few small moth holes on the bottom.
