For sale is a wonderful antique 19th century mourning bonnet that I acquired in Pennsylvania quite a few years ago. It is completely hand sewn, has a long ruffle on the back, and there are cardboard stays in the crown. It ties in the front and and has a cotton string on the interior for adjusting the width of the ruffle. It measures about 19" long to the bottom of the ruffle,12 1/2" front to back, and the opening is about 13" across when fully open. The bonnet is in near mint condition, with no flaws.
