For sale is a very sweet antique Edwardian folk art oil painting on board of a couple in a sort of veranda overlooking a village by the sea. There are quite a few sailboats in the water, and a mountainous area across the water with what looks like it could be another village, but it is painted white, so I don't know for sure. The painting is unsigned, but there is writing scratched on the back with letters and numbers, and I don't know what they mean. The frame is terrific, with scribed decoration all the way around. The framed piece measures about 18 1/4" x 12 3/4" with sight measurements of 15" x 9 1/2". It is in nice antique condition with some yellowing and craquelure, as well as minor wear on the frame, but it displays very well.
