New England dovetailed document box. I love these small American boxes when they are found in this great condition. Has original spring snip hings with original bail handle. Nice original lock and must have lost key and had to break off clasp. Measures 12 by 6 inches with a dovetailed case. Strong red and black painted surface all original. Again early 1800-1830 period 19th century American dome top box. Strong folky original paint not seen often.
