For sale is one of 7 vintage folk art chicken/rooster on spool pin cushions that were formerly in the collection of Alice and Art Booth of New Jersey. This one is made of what looks and feels like a nylon knit in a tiny grid pattern, and has a crocheted comb and embroidered nose as well as fairly large button eyes. I believe it is filled with either cotton or wool. The piece measures about 5 1/2" tall, 4 1/2" long beak to tail, and 1 1/2" wide. The spool is about 1" in diameter. The pin cushion is in nice vintage condition, with some minor surface dirt and light toning, but no significant flaws.
