Sweet Antique Folk Art Bee Skep Form Inkwell

For sale is a very sweet antique folk art carved inkwell in the form of a bee skep with a little be on the base. It came from Maine, but I suspect that it might be European because the wood has quite a few wormholes. It measures about 3 1/4" tall, 1 3/4" in diameter, and the base is about 2 1/2" x 2 1/4". The piece is in very nice antique condition, with signs of age and use including ink stains on the bottom of the lid as well as one on the rim, a few small and very tight age cracks, but no chips or other issues.
