Primitive tool carrier dating to the late 19th to turn of the century showing great surface along with nice form. ♥Contents is also included that makes for a nice display in any laundry room. Carrier has some age-related cracks as well as a chip (wood loss) that extends beyond the back right corner. Round head nails along with screws were used to fashion this piece. Front and back panels as well as the handle have a raised (grooved) appearance that adds interest and character. Roving wool acts as a filler for the contents which include a tin grater topped with old lye soap, scrub brush, a variety of clothespins and a textile mill spool retaining original thread. Has the ability to be hung by way of a wire hanger located in the dowel. One-of-a-kind fun display opportunity awaits! Measures 15 ¼” across, stands almost 9 ¾” tall (dowel included) and measures almost 5” deep. More pictures available.
