1883 Needlepoint & Crocheted Wall/Sewing Pocket

For sale is a very sweet antique dated 1883 handmade folk art wall or sewing pocket. I don't know whether it would be considered a huswif or not since there is only one pocket. The pocket is completed in needlepoint, and has a central rose design, with forget-me-nots in the upper corners, and the initials "DFS" I believe, on the bottom on both sides of the year. The body is made of a polished fabric, the entire perimeter and the top of the pocket are trimmed with crochet, and the backing is very naively sewn on, and in fact, I'm not sure if it is original. The piece measures about 15 1/2" long, and 7 3/4" wide at the bottom, and is in very nice condition, with no significant flaws other than the possible addition/replacement of the backing.
