19th century painted pine valuables box with a dome lid. It has an old painted surface with images of people, tulips, hearts, birds, and chickens. I believe it is German or Scandinavian, The interior is painted red. The dimensions are 16 1/2" long x 10 1/2" deep x 8" high. It is in very good condition with typical wear. The lock stem is missing. Sides are also painted with birds. More photos available.
