This Scandinavian scutching knife is painted a very bright blue pain Here is a Scandinavian Scutching knife signed with the initials, END, and dated 1835. There are fingers carved near the handle. it is painted with red, white, green and brown tulips and daffodils on a gold background. It has an old repair to a split on the end. There's also a small piece missing on the tip.
