Antique Primitive Maine Firkin in Old Red Paint

For sale is a wonderful antique primitive firkin that came from Maine. It has an old red painted surface, although I'm not certain if it is original. It has a mushroom cap knob on the lid and measures about 7 1/4" tall not including the handle, 8 1/4" in diameter on the top, 8 5/8" in diameter on the bottom, and the handle rises about 3 3/8" when fully extended. The piece is in nice antique condition, with minor paint wear and surface dirt, and the strap at the bottom that holds the staves in place moves a bit.
