For sale is a fabulous antique firkin in old putty gray paint that I acquired in Iowa. It has a mushroom knob handle and has nailed rather than stapled construction. The firkin measures about 9 1/4" tall not including the handle, 9" in diameter on the top, and 9 1/2" in diameter on the bottom, and the handle rises about 4" when fully upright. It is in nice, but primitive antique condition, with surface dirt, grime, and paint wear, but no areas or damage or repair.
