For sale is an antique cutlery tray or knife box that I acquired in Pennsylvania, and that I believe was made there as well. It has sort of scalloped sides, and the short sides aren't the same, although there is no evidence of the box having been cut down or repaired, and I believe that the very dark red wash is original. In addition, the maker used both nails and wood pegs in its construction. The piece measures about 16 1/2" long, 12" wide, and 8" tall from the middle of the handle, and is in nice, but antique condition, with wear, surface dirt, as well as expected oxidation around the nails.
