Sold by West Pelham Antiques
In the late 19th/early 20th centuries, tin baskets of various forms were popular gifts for a couple’s 10th (or “Tin”) wedding Anniversary. This example has double handles and measures 8” x 3 ½” x 6” high (10 3/4” to the top of the handles). It has a dark, evenly worn patina and is in excellent condition with no breaks, holes, etc. It is tight and the handles are firmly in place. These don’t come along very often.
