This delightful post-WWII distinguished teddy bear, was crafted by the renowned Chad Valley Co. Ltd. in England, dating from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. Fashioned from a soft cream-colored plush material showing minimal thinning, this bear represents the fascinating austerity era of post-war British toy manufacturing. Sports a classic stitched nose as well as amber glass eyes. Bear is fully articulated and retains firm excelsior stuffing. He proudly wears a patriotic red, white, and blue star-spangled ribbon around his neck and is also holding a flag (included), giving him a sweet, display-ready presence. Paw pads show wear and were fashioned from period-correct Rexine. Consistent with age, the outer cellulose coating has flaked away, revealing the original woven cloth backing underneath. Also shows a small stain on his belly but other than that he is in great condition. All joints move smoothly and hold positions well. No remaining ink stamp or physical tags are present. He guarantees bipartisan snuggles! Stands almost 12” tall, measures 6 ¼” across @ the widest point, (paw to paw) and measures 3” from his nose to the back of his head, offered with free shipping!
