American wooden lighting trammel, 17th early 18th c., maple and pine woods, wooden pegs, wonderful wear and untouched patina. Remains of original reddish brown paint. 28” minimum and 44” fully extended, period repair to hanger end where it wore through from use. Very rare, museum quality. These are very seldom found. I have only owned 2 in the past 20 plus years.
