This very attractive (and large) decorative Male Mallard decoy is signed (with a stamp) Ken Harris, Woodville, NY, and dates to the second half of the 20th. It measures about 15” from beak to tail, 6” wide and 7” tall at the head. Nice mellow paint with detailing in the tail feathers and bill. Glass eyes. Solid Wood Body (it weighs about 3 ¼ pounds (shipping weight will be 5+ lbs), and is in elcellent condition, with no splits, cracks or chipped paint. Harris was an important NY carber in the middle of the. 20th century. The head and the body were carved separately and then attached. This is a very nice example of Harris’ work and a great mantle bird.
