This American hand forged iron rushlight is untouched. At some point felt was added to bottom of original Burl wood base. Has a nice curl counter weight to hold the rush. Very rare ash Burl base from the 1760-1780 period. Measures a total of about 15 inches. Nice honest patina. Has tang on bottom where shaft goes through base.
