I don't often use the term "museum quality" but this fireplace bellows is just that in my opinion. It has punched designs on all front sides with a 1771 date. Hand crank pulley driven with flat tin bellows inside. Black walnut wood with a shellac and/or waxed surface. Probably of PA origin. It measures 19 3/4” tall x 5 3/8” at top. Minor nail split at top side and the pulley belt was replaced. American and probably PA origin. Very rare. Only one of this style that I have owned or seen. It was hard to get good photos of the surface. It looks much better in hand.
