19th C. Scottish Silk on Linen Adam & Eve Sampler

For sale is a wonderful antique 19th century Scottish folk art Adam and Eve sampler that I acquired from a sale in Pennsylvania. I believe it is silk on linen, and motifs include a menorah, a bird atop a house, a peacock, other birds, flowers, and more. In addition, you can see the devil serpent wrapped around the trunk of the apple tree. It is housed in a black and gold frame that I don't think is as old as the sampler. The framed piece measures about 14 1/4" x 13 1/4" with sight measurements of 12 3/4" x 11 3/4". It is in nice antique condition, with ight toning, as well as a few small holes that have been well disguised due to the fact that the sampler has been backed with linen fabric. The frame shows minor wear, and the backing paper has also browned over time. Please look carefully at the pictures, and contact me with any questions or for additional photos.
