For sale is a wonderful antique 29th century folk art Lord's Prayer silk on linen sampler that I acquired in New England. Figural designs include a man and woman which could indicate that this piece was a wedding gift???. There are angels flanking the words "The Lord's Prayer", a large basket, flowers, a tree, dog, grapevine, and more. The sampler is housed in an antique possibly original frame with the original wavy glass. The frame piece measures about 20" x 19" with sight measurements of 15" x 14". In addition, it should be noted that the sampler was removed for examination and acid free backing was added before placing it back in the frame and replacing the paper backing. It is in nice antique condition with overall toning, most evident down the center, but no holes or other issues. The frame exhibits minor wear.
