For sale is a very dear antique dated 1857 folk art watercolor that depicts a young child, probably a boy playing with a black horse pull-toy. The piece also has the name "W. Hopkines", but I don't know if that is the painter or the subject of the painting. The piece is housed in a period maple frame with its original metal ring hanger, and measures about 9" x 8 1/2" with sight measurements of 6 1/4" x 5 3/4". The watercolor is in antique condition with toning, creases, a small tear in the upper right corner, and a tiny hole near the upper left corner. Still, I think this piece is worthy of display.
