Antq. Lancaster Co. Homespun Dog Pincushion Whimsy

Price: 225 including shipping and insurance

Sold by Albion Valley Folk Art and Antiques

For sale is a very dear antique folk art dog pin cushion whimsy that I acquired from a well known Lancaster County, Pennsylvania dealer quite a few years ago. He is made of blue and white homespun, has black bead eyes, naively stitched nose and mouth, and a bead studded collar around his neck. He is firmly stuffed, and measures about 5" tall, 2 1/4" wide at the bottom, and 1 3/4" front to back. He is in very nice antique condition, with a barely detectable area of brown on the back of his head, his ears are very naively sewn into place, and there is a remnant of a piece of paper, possibly a tag of some kind, but no significant issues. Please look carefully at the pictures, and contact me with any questions or for additional photos.
