For sale is a wonderful antique 19th century Black Americana folk art rag doll that was formerly in the collection of Nancy and Gary Stass. She is completely handmade, She has a naively embroidered mouth, a raised/pinched nose, and her eyes are white fabric and straight pins with large black glass heads. Each hand has 5 defined fingers, wonderful curly wool hair, and she is wearing her original dress, petticoat, and bloomers. Her shoes are antique, but are replacements. I believe she is firmly stuffed with cotton and measures about 22" tall. She is in nice antique condition, with expected fabric wear, surface dirt, etc. small holes, etc., primarily on the front and sleeves of her dress.
